Briefing Session – Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS)

Thank you very much for your participation in the second information session for the 2025 academic year. The first session for the 2026 academic year is scheduled to be held around mid-May. Details will be announced on this page after April 2026.
 

The Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (Doctoral Program) at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, holds briefing sessions twice a year for prospective applicants.
We are pleased to announce that the second session for the 2025 academic year will be held as follows. If you wish to attend, please register using the form below by Thursday, September 25, 2025.

・Please note that the session will be conducted in Japanese.
 
In the Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies at the Graduate School of Engineering (GSE), The University of Tokyo, students can choose from a wide range of research fields that encompass both science and liberal arts. These fields are based on the Core Courses of GSE and the six Research Fields of RCAST.
Many students in the Department of AIS also pursue their studies while working at their companies. During our briefing session, we will introduce our department and explain about the Schedule B entrance examination, which will take place in January 2026. We welcome those who wish to take the exam, seek information for their future careers, or have a keen interest in our department. Please feel free to join the session.
