AY2027 Admission Information

The selection of applicants for the Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies is conducted based on the "Guidelines for Applicants to the 2027 Doctoral Program, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo (Guidelines)" and “Instructions for Entrance Application Doctoral Program Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo
Academic Year 2027(Entrance examination guide)”.
Applicants should first read the Guidelines as they contain important information, including qualifications required for application and application procedures common to all research programs. For details, please refer to the Guidelines and the Entrance examination guide (downloadable from the bottom of the page).

Starting this year, document screening will be conducted based on the application documents submitted. Please refer to the Entrance Examination Guide for details.

Notes
Applicants must identify a faculty member from the faculty members list below with whom they propose to conduct their research and then contact the faculty member to arrange an interview in which the applicant describes his/her academic achievements, research experience, research abilities, and research plans during the designated interview period before applying.
Applicants are required to enter the name of their faculty advisor and the date of the interview in the column provided on the "Applicant Information Sheet".
