Yudai Kaneko and a research team have developed a new photo-activating antibody-mimetic drug conjugate treatment, FL2, which is attracting attention as a new cancer treatment method. As a result of using this drug conjugate treatment in mice with recurrent breast cancer, the tumors completely disappeared. In the future, the combination of FL2 and tumor immunotherapy may lead to the establishment of a breakthrough therapy to cure cancer without surgery.

The results of this research were published on Cancer Science on September 20, 2022.
